New Technical Manager – Dr Matthew Sidford

We are delighted to announce that Dr Matthew Sidford has been appointed as Technical Manager for CHEMMAT. Matthew started his new role on 1st October. Although we are presently one technician short, the Technicians will continue to support the Department to the high bar set by Peter Buchanan. Previously, Matthew worked in the Department as Team Leader and Senior Technician for several years. We wish Matthew all the best in his new role.

 

Farewell Peter Buchanan, Technical Manager

Peter Buchanan was our Technical Manager for over 30 years. He retired on 1 July and we held a morning tea in his honour. Our Head of Department Prof Ashvin Thambyah thanked Peter for doing such a wonderful job, for so many years. We all wish Peter the very best for the future.
