About 70 students and staff gathered for dinner at the Bodrum Newmarket restaurant on the evening of Thursday, 9 December. It was a fun and relaxing night, and it was a nice treat for our Postgraduate students who have, like everyone, found 2020 very challenging.
We also celebrated Professor Mohammed Farid’s 71st birthday with a cake and flowers brought along by his group.
Students sat at tables with their supervisor, where this was possible. Everyone commented on the food and the ambience, and the entertainment provided by the restaurant – a belly dancer. A good time was had by all and we hope to make the Chemmat Postgraduate Dinner an annual event, from now on!
