Chemmat’s Professor Mohammed Farid has three MBIE-funded projects. Listed below, the first two have already been contracted, and the third one should be contracted very soon.


Title: Quality and safety assurance for high value cold-smoked or eaten raw salmon products using HPP alone or in a hurdle combination

Total funding $80,000 for one year (February 2020-February 2021)


Title: Mitigation of loss of Juice flavour after HPP (High Pressure Processing)

Total funding $80,000 for one year (February 2020-February 2021)


Subcontract with the University of Otago – Research Assistant at University of Auckland to conduct computer analysis ($34,000)

Any equipment usage will be charged separately to University of Otago
