Last summer, Kathy Pu performed her summer research scholarship under supervision of  CHEMMAT’s Dr Vonne van Heeswijk.

Her research project was focused on characterising the microstructure of ovine facet joint cartilage. A poster of this research was exhibited at the faculty of Engineering’s Poster presentation day and Kathy’s poster was selected as highly commended and was awarded the best CHEMMAT poster prize.
