Showcasing how chemical engineers in this emerging sector are helping to tackle some of the biggest challenges facing society, the careers profiles illustrate the relevance of the profession to young people currently choosing a career path. Members of IChemE have put together Chemical engineering careers in the bioeconomy: A selection of career profiles to inspire students to consider a career in the biosector and showcase how chemical engineers in this sector are making a real difference to help tackle some of the biggest global challenges – such as the production of safe and sustainable food and water, manufacturing life-saving drugs, and developing alternatives to fossil fuels.
